Explaining the 28-DAY SOUL COACHING PROGRAM…

This is a powerful 28-day journey of cleansing, connection, inspiration, and transformation. Think of it as "detox" for your mind, body, spirit, and heart designed to balance, align, and invigorate your life. The 28-Day Soul Coaching Program is divided into four one-week periods with each week dedicated to one of the four elements and the four corresponding aspects of self:

Days 1-7 – we use the element of Air to work with our Intellectual Self – clearing mental and physical clutter, assessing where you are versus where you want to be, empowering actions, aligning your life with your core values, exploring your soul mission

Days 8-14 – we use the properties of Water to explore our Emotional Self – deep cathartic work to release victim-thinking, exploring energy levels, assessing relationships, reframing life experiences, being in gratitude

Days 15-21 - with the element of Fire we work with our Spiritual Self – taking action, facing our "shadow self", awakening your creative spirit, being present, being in abundance

Days 22-28 – using the element of Earth, we work with our Physical Self – connecting with your body, physical "detox", awakening the natural forces within you, creating sacred spaces

For each of the 28-day days there are practical, fun, and transformative exercises that are divided into three levels that you can choose from according to your time availability each day:

• Level 1: usually requires 15-30 minutes of your day

• Level 2: usually takes 30 to 60 minutes of your day.

• Level 3: takes as long as it takes!

The 28-day Soul Coaching program will help you to de-clutter your life, connect to your intuitive self, release blockages that are keeping you stuck, identify your purpose, empower your actions, reduce stress and anxiety, align your outer life with your inner authentic self, and increase the energy, harmony, confidence, clarity, and joy in your daily life.

The 28-Day Program was created by Denise Linn — my most esteemed and cherished teacher!

JANUARY INSPIRE-LETTER

Hello Precious Souls!

I'm not a big fan of winter, however, there's something I quite like about January...  I can't help but be fond of the snow falling outside my window as I write this because it feels to me like it's forming this big fluffy white blanket under which all the possibilities and dreams for the year ahead warmly percolate. I also love the feeling of new and hopeful beginnings that the New Year brings. However... if you find yourself today the proprietor of a failed 2010 New Year's resolution, the bloom on that rose may have already faded for you. ; )

And you certainly wouldn't be alone... Statistics show that 88% of New Year's resolutions will eventually go down the toilet. I'm going to lose weight this year, quit smoking, get out of debt…yes, these are some of the stale surface resolutions that come up every Jan. 1 and usually fall by the wayside by Jan. 4.

Well, I say: "How about taking another run at this year's resolutions?!"  This time, however, what if you were to put your focus on shifting some of the inner stuff first?  After all, this is the place from which all permanent outer changes take root.  In this month's Inspire-letter, I'm going to give you a second chance at the New Year with "5 Resolutions from the Inside Out". First though, in the tradition of embarrassingly exposing my own bumpy road of self-actualization, I thought I'd share with you how, just this past week, resolution number 2 from this list -- "Practice Gratitude" - gave me one of those shifts "from the inside out"…

So, I was headed into a very promising 2010 it seemed. Soul Coach Kimberly was booked to be a guest on two big national television shows to talk about New Year's resolutions and I was very excited to be able to talk Soul Coaching and body/mind/spirit to an audience of hundreds of thousands! When the New Year hit however, I got a call from the first show telling me that they had accidentally double-booked and my segment would have to be dropped…very disappointing. Then, exhausted after a whole day of delayed flights at the Winnipeg airport trying to get back to Toronto for my other TV appearance, I found out in the cab home from the airport that they were canceling my appearance on the other show. I was being pre-empted by live news coverage of the repatriation ceremony for the four Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan. I'll admit, even in light of what I was being pre-empted for, tired, grumpy Kimberly was starting to feel a little sorry for herself over these lost opportunities. It was then that the very nice fellow driving the airport taxi, who had overhead what went down, chirped up, "I'm from Afghanistan, you know!" His name was Mohammed and we quickly got into an in-depth talk about what it was like for him going back to Afghanistan a couple of years ago and not being able to locate most of his family and friends. We shared some tears as he told me about his sister in Kabul getting letters warning her that she will get acid thrown in her face if she doesn't switch from wearing a scarf over her head back to wearing the burka... Well, Mohammed's stories really hit home all the blessings I take for granted and almost instantly shifted me out of a place of disappointment.  I thanked him for being my "angel of perspective" and have ridden this wave of gratitude since -- striving to create my outer life from a place of inner abundance.

So, I invite you to forge ahead with me into the creation of our 2010 by first recognizing the blessed place from which you start. May this be your best-lived year yet!

All my love,

Kimberly

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

5 Resolutions From the Inside Out

1. Breathe – When was the last time you actually took a deep breath?  Our hurried shallow breathing is robbing us of a lot of life’s juice. If you need to make a resolution around stress, make it to take regular deep breaths throughout your day and feel the SPACE open up in your energy. An extra bonus? Oxygen to the brain...a good thing.  Exercise: try setting an hourly alert on your PDA to remind you to take “breath breaks”

2. Practice Gratitude – Resolutions often focus on all the qualities/stuff you don’t have.  How about being in the energy of the abundance that you do have?  This can create such a lovely vibe around you that can't help but be a magnet for even more abundance.  Exercise:  Start your day with a list of 10 things you are grateful for right now

3. Adjust Your Body – Instead of pinning all your happiness on losing weight, think about the feeling you think you’d get from being skinny and fit and figure out how to physically embody that quality NOW. ie. If looking hot in your skinny jeans = feeling sexy, you don't have to wait for the skinny jeans!  Try spending a day as if you already are sexy and skinny… Experiment with your expression, walk, talk and stance and see how fast you actually begin to manifest that sex-bomb vibe.  Exercise: Adjust Your Body, Adjust Your Life Audio Recording (Day 24 Below)

4. Being of Service – Sometimes the best way to shift the energy in your life is to help shift the energy in somebody else’s.  Choosing a way to be of service in a quantifiable way every day is a deeply connective practice. However, if the service feels like an obligation…instant disqualification! Exercise: Commit an anonymous "random act of kindness" today

5. Celebrate NOW – Stop postponing celebrating until: you’ve lost weight, got a new job, found your soul-mate, have more time/money/space…it’s a recipe for an absolutely joyless life!  Scattering bite-sized pieces of joy and celebration throughout your daily routine will transform your life.  Personally, my bite-sized pieces of celebration look a lot like chocolate. ; ) Exercise:  Spend the day continually asking yourself 'How can I bring even more joy to this activity?'

FUN INJECTION: No Pants Day!

Another gem from the group Improv Everywhere.  This time 1200 of them ride the NYC subway in the middle of a snowstorm, you guessed it...not wearing any pants

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. -- Elizabeth Kubler Ross
