Explaining the
SOUL COACHING PROGRAM…

This is a powerful 6-week journey of exploration, inspiration, action, deep healing, and transformation. Think of it as "detox" for your mind, body, spirit, and heart designed to balance, connect, and invigorate your life.

The Soul Coaching Program starts with 28 days of intensive daily work which is divided into four one-week periods with each week dedicated to one of the four elements and the four corresponding aspects of self. The rest of the program involves the processing of the material and then fully integrating it into your daily life for lasting results.

Our weekly gatherings include two soul journeys (deep guided visualizations which work on a subconscious level), life strategizing, a hands-on creative or cathartic activity, intuitive exercises, discussion, and workshopping the past week's content.

Gathering 1 — Introduction to the Program

Week 1 — Air Week
- we use the element of Air to work with our Intellectual Self — developing awareness, clearing mental and physical clutter, accessing your intuition, identifying your limiting beliefs, making empowering commitments, aligning your life with your core values, exploring your soul mission, creating breathing space in your life

Gathering 2 — Culmination of Air Week

Week 2 — Water Week - we use the properties of Water to explore our Emotional Self — deep healing with early wounds, exploring energy levels, assessing relationships, releasing victim-thinking, empowering life experiences, connecting with yourself as a child, being in gratitude, creating flow in your life

Gathering 3 — Culmination of Water Week

Week 3 — Fire Week - with the element of Fire we work with our Spiritual Self — active cathartic work around fears, taking action, embracing your "shadow self", unleashing your passion, being present, taking risks, awakening your creative spirit, exploring dying, and igniting your life

Gathering 4 — Culmination of Fire Week

Week 4 — Earth Week - using the element of Earth, we work with our Physical Self — connecting with, detoxing, and nurturing your body, inspiring your physical surroundings, healing around body image issues, visioning for your future, connecting with nature and awakening the natural forces within you

Gathering 5 — Culmination of Earth Week

Week 5 — Integration Week - a structured, guided revisiting any of the program you didn't feel "complete" with to prepare you for the program Quest

Gathering 6 — Building Your Daily Soul Practice

Week 6 — Soul Practice Week - exploring and establishing a daily routine that will help continue the positive effects of the program for the long-term.

Gathering 7 — The Quest

3 Levels of Commitment...

In the first intensive 28 days of the program, there are daily practical, fun, and transforming exercises that are divided into three levels that you can choose from according to your time availability each day:

Level 1: usually requires 15-30 minutes of your day

Level 2: (includes doing Level 1) usually takes 30 to 60 minutes of your day.

Level 3: (includes doing the Level 1 & 2) takes as long as it takes!

The Soul Coaching program can help you define your life purpose, release blockages that are keeping you stuck, connect to your intuitive self, declutter your life, reduce stress and anxiety, cultivate your creativity and joy, align your outer life with your inner yearnings, and increase the energy, clarity, love, confidence, peace, and fun in your daily life.

The Soul Coaching modality was created by Denise Linn — one of Kimberly's cherished teachers!

Precious Souls!

December and the holiday season begins... So, who here would like to not have to FAKE your joy again this Christmas/ Hanukkah/ Kwanzaa? ; )  I mean, how nice would it be to feel a genuine connection with folks during the holiday family and work get-togethers instead of just gritting your teeth to get through it all? And wouldn’t it be great to actually be present to the festive lights, smells, tastes, and music of the season instead of it all being just a numbing blur of calories and hollow rituals?

Well, this is all possible, but it's going take you committing to some serious self-care this month to keep your own gas tank filled. Yes folks -- gasp with scandalous shock if you will -- but what I’m proposing for you to avoid turning all "Grinch" this December is to put YOURSELF at the top of your Christmas list for a change!

Of course, it’s so drilled into us that the Christmas season is about giving to others that many of us wouldn’t even entertain the thought of meeting our own needs in the middle of it all.  And frankly, this mandated self-neglect is not at all exclusive to the holiday season… Year-round most of us experience crazy guilt over the idea of helping ourselves when we "should" be helping others (Moms are especially prone to this!)  Well, martyrdom may be a noble concept, but what we actually end up with is a society full of burnt-out, cranky, and unfulfilled people obligated to continually put their own needs at the back of the line.

Now, if you know me, I'm usually the one encouraging others to find a way to routinely and passionately be of service to others and the world. However, I also have learned the hard way about the importance of balancing service with self-nurturing.

You see, I do a lot of activism work -- especially with animal advocacy -- and this means continually facing big draining issues like the billions of animals who live and die horrendously within the factory farming system. Not exactly a barrel of laughs. At one point a couple of years ago, I started to let my self-nurturing slide because I began to feel that great guilt: How could I possibly deserve joy or comfort while so many beings in this world were suffering so deeply?!  So, I stopped feeding my soul and my advocacy work came increasingly out of a place of sorrow, anger, and alienation. Of course, I began collapsing under the weight of these low vibration qualities real fast with nothing to rejuvenate me. Thankfully, a wise activist friend sat me down and gave me a "talking to". He told me that I had to find some balance between tending to my own needs and the needs of others…not only for myself, but for the sake of those I was helping. He helped me realize that I wasn’t doing my cause any favors by working from this joyless and alienated place -- that I was so much more effective in inspiring others toward change when I was in my full vibrant, connected, and empowered self. And the only way to be this self, was to nurture this self.

Think of what they say on airplanes: “In case of emergency, apply your own oxygen mask before helping others”. That's because if you don’t suck up some oxygen you will be rendered unconscious and good to NOBODY!  Taking time to honor your own needs not only feeds you, but the joy, presence, and juiciness cultivated within you as a result of this self-nurturing will feed those around you ten-fold.

This month’s Inspire-Letter is full of self-care tips and tools so you can start nurturing yourself into the full, radiant person that is your true self..

Your oxygen mask is hanging there, wouldn’t it be stupid not to grab it?

Big Festive Hugs,

Kimberly

10 WAYS TO NURTURE YOURSELF TODAY

1. Declare a "Hug Me!" Day to those around you.

2. Nature and solitude: Wrap yourself up in a big blanket with a steaming mug of hot chocolate and watch the sunrise.

3. Even if you're going solo, take the time to make yourself a nutritious meal full of fresh colorful ingredients and to make it visually appealing. If you usually cook for your family, once a week make it "the kids cook for the parents" day. Or...just order some healthy take-out. ; )

4.
Get a massage. If you can't afford one, go to a yoga class for self-massage. "Restorative" and "Gentle" classes are the best for this.

5. Make time for a daily soul practice (which could include things like journaling, stretching, gratitude lists, meditation, setting intentions, stream-of-consciousness drawing, yoga) and keep this appointment to yourself religiously.

6. Book any doctor, dentist, physio, counselling, etc. appointments you've been putting off.

7. Go to a matinee to see the funniest movie you can and laugh your ass off in the dark by yourself. Laughter can be so self-healing.

8. Set-up a little meditation space in your home preferably with a door that closes to  create some structure around your daily meditation time.

9. Look into the mirror and give yourself all the validation you've been longing to hear from others lately...try not to think of Stuart Smalley.

10. Take a "mental health" day and be vigilant in only partaking in things that are rejuvenating for YOU including good music, nature, naps, inspiring books, revitalizing food, nurturing movement, and affection from friends, kids, lovers, or animal companions.

"When you can lovingly be present to yourself, your presence to others takes on a deeper quality also."
- MacRina Wiederkehrlf

EXERCISE: Talking to Your Body

In this meditative exercise, you're going to have a dialogue with different parts of your body.

In a quiet place and in a relaxed position, close your eyes and slowly go through each part of your body starting with your feet. Imagine each part of your body having a personality, stature, or energy and talk to that part of your body to find out if there is anything that body part wants you to know. So, you might tune into lips and get the sense of a dry, withered old woman. When you ask your lips what they want you to know or do, you might get something back like “We're dry -- winter's sucking all the moisture out of us…get a humidifier!” or maybe you'll get something more along the lines of: “I'm really longing for a kiss…it's been so long."

Complete your dialogue with each part by telling it you love and appreciate it for all it has given you. Try doing this with all your body parts including your organs! This exercise can feel a little silly, but commit yourself to it and it can deliver some fascinating information.

For a really deep self-care check-in, listen to my "Parts Tour" guided visualization where you come face-to-face with your intellectual self, your emotional self, your physical self, and your spiritual self to intuitively find out how to best nurture yourself at this time in your life.
